scananalysis produce scores and an item analyis of a scanner results from NCS scantools green form 19543. The test may have had two forms with one in reversed item order to be processed in one process pass.

text2test produce 3 kinds of tests: multiple choice test (with optional reversed item order form), online multiple choice self tests, and online fill-in-the-blank tests. There are two types of text that can be used to produce tests: glossaries (with " is " or " are " seperating the term from the definition), and plain text plus a list of answer terms. In the case of plain text the source could be a chapter or an article and the answers can come from the key terms related to a part of the course. The process locates sentences with answer terms and formats them as test items ready for editing and producing tests. In the case of multiple choice test the foil alternatives come from incorrect answers on the list of answers or other glossary terms.

xamtoolbox of FireFox browser based tools version 2005 for test development as BCCommons license for open use. (due to lack of IE standards compliance some tools will not work in IE browser)

StringScore is Mozilla Firefox browser based Javascript1.3 version of XamTool for scoring the scanning file of the General Purpose Date Sheet 1 form no. 19543. The program produces raw scores, percent scores, item analysis, item-item matrix, matching errors, and if provided with the texfile of the questions the program produces an annotated test with embeded item analysis as well as a good-items makeup test with items sorted easiest to most difficult. Results are produced as text blocks for portability. Stringscore Documentation and Example

XAM_TOOL.xls add-in for Excel 5.0 (Windows) is a test scoring and analysis system that provides the following features: input from Optical Mark Scanner output files, multiple forms both generated and scored, grade sheet automatically setup and added to, test item analysis including item bias, also includes a matching error analysis to encourage academic honesty. Customizable .ini file and comprehensive windows help file included. Xam_tool Home Page

    makehtml.html
Convert text outline into a Web Page presentation show with sideshows
using an opensource javascript page from your browser. This is suitable
for inclass use with an averkey to convert the browser screen to show on TV

    • New version that also makes timed fill-in-the-blank selftests at the end of the presentation

    eval5x10.html
Evaluation designer for 5 options by 10 criteria procduces an interactive form for
weighted averages style of evaluation. The weights can be edited as well as the ratings
which provides an easy way to do sensitivity analysis of a complex decision process. The
added benefit is that this multi-attribute decision process provides an auditable trail of
how the decision was determined. By using the interactive form the limits of trying to do
impossibly large decisions in one's head can be surpassed because the form keeps the data
load from being overwhelming to the decision maker. The essence of the process is very similar
to weighted grading systems that are commonly used in courses for assigning marks.
    Ethical Decision-Making version
simple version for decision making about dropping a course

getscore.html is a web based test scoring processor that
takes an item key string and an item response string as input and returns an item score string
along with a raw score and a percentage score. Missing data and skipped items are handled if
they are indicated as spaces or minus signs (dashes -) in the item keys or the item responses.
